EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ — The Jonas Brothers’ 20th-anniversary tour, JONAS20: Greetings From Your Hometown, launched with an unforgettable surprise at MetLife Stadium on Sunday, August 10. The trio—Kevin, Joe, and Nick Jonas—welcomed a special guest to the stage: Demi Lovato, their co-star from the Disney Channel’s Camp Rock series. This unexpected reunion sent fans into a frenzy, blending nostalgia with contemporary performances.
As the evening unfolded, Joe Jonas captivated the audience with a heartfelt rendition of “Gotta Find You” from the original Camp Rock film. The atmosphere reached a crescendo when Lovato joined him on stage, and together they performed “This Is Me,” followed by their duet “Wouldn’t Change a Thing” from Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam. Their harmonious vocals and evident chemistry transported the audience back to the late 2000s, evoking cherished memories of their Disney Channel days.
The reunion was not just a musical highlight but also a moment of personal connection. Lovato, now 32, and Joe, 35, shared a brief relationship in 2010, which added a layer of depth to their on-stage collaboration. Their performance was a testament to their enduring friendship and professional respect.
Beyond the nostalgic duet, the Jonas Brothers’ concert featured a mix of their classic hits like “Lovebug,” “S.O.S.,” and “Burnin’ Up,” alongside new tracks from their latest album, Greetings from Your Hometown. The show also included appearances by other artists, such as Jesse McCartney, who performed his hit “Beautiful Soul,” and the rock band Switchfoot. The evening culminated in a heartwarming family moment, with the Jonas brothers’ parents and younger brother Frankie joining them on stage for a rendition of “When You Look Me in the Eyes.”
The JONAS20 tour is a celebration of the band’s two-decade journey in the music industry. With over 50 scheduled performances across the U.S. and Canada, fans can anticipate more surprises and memorable moments in the coming months.
