Harlem rapper Cam’ron has escalated his ongoing feud with actor Omar Gooding by orchestrating an elaborate prank that involved booking Gooding for a fictitious movie shoot in Miami. The stunt, which reportedly cost Cam’ron around $3,500, featured Gooding signing a “contract” and performing push-ups on set, all for a project that doesn’t exist. Cam’ron shared behind-the-scenes footage of the setup, revealing the elaborate nature of the prank.
The feud between Cam’ron and Gooding began in December 2024 during an episode of Cam’ron’s podcast, It Is What It Is, where he mistakenly referred to Gooding as “Omar Gooding Jr.” and suggested that Black actors like Gooding and Ving Rhames often rely on others to revive their careers. Gooding responded with a series of diss tracks, including “Fix Ya Mouth,” addressing the comments.
In response to Cam’ron’s prank, Gooding took to social media, expressing amusement at the situation. He posted a video thanking Cam’ron for the free trip to Miami and the unexpected payday, stating, “A free trip to Miami? $2,500 in my pocket to do some push-ups with my shirt off? Thank you.” Gooding’s lighthearted response has garnered attention, with many praising his ability to turn the prank into a positive experience.
This latest development in their feud highlights the ongoing tension between the two, blending elements of hip-hop culture with the entertainment industry. While Cam’ron’s prank was intended to embarrass Gooding, the actor’s response has turned the tables, showcasing his resilience and sense of humor in the face of adversity.
