K-pop star Jackson Wang, a member of GOT7, was hospitalized on August 15, 2025, due to a severe case of food poisoning. This health emergency led to the abrupt cancellation of his scheduled fan signing event. Team Wang Records, his agency, confirmed the incident, stating that Wang was taken to the hospital around midnight and has been advised to rest for a full recovery. As a result, the Music Korea fan meeting planned for the same day was called off.
In their official statement, Team Wang Records apologized for the sudden cancellation and assured fans that refunds would be processed for those who had purchased tickets. They also mentioned that a new date for the fan signing event would be announced once Wang has fully recovered. The news has prompted an outpouring of support from fans worldwide, many of whom have expressed their well wishes on social media.
Despite this setback, Wang remains active in his music career. His latest album, Magic Man 2, was released on July 18, 2025, and he is scheduled to embark on his world tour in October, starting with performances in Bangkok, Thailand.
